From Tourism Australia’s recent newsletter:
The Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP, last week announced a $20 million partnership between Tourism Australia and the Australian tourism industry. The marketing stimulus will see an $11 million contribution from airlines and state and regional tourism organisations teamed with the $9 million in marketing funding the Minister announced in October, to stimulate travel to Australia from our top regional trading partners.
The $20 million partnership will fund the delivery of 62 separate additional tourism marketing projects by Tourism Australia with 20 partners in 13 markets and boost the industry’s return to growth in 2010, via a range of tourism recovery campaigns in leisure and business travel.
Tourism Australia will partner with the Australian business events sector to deliver a $2 million program of initiatives designed to stimulate domestic business events travel, including regional business events travel and boosting the number of delegates at events being held in Australia.
